Scheduling Questions

  • It is recommended to organize the event details with us at least 2-4 weeks prior to hosting a private event. 

  • Hours during May and October are modified for daylight savings time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Reservations

  • We reserve the right to cancel the trip due to weather, trip availability, or captain related issues. 

  • We do require a minimum of 8 people in order to disembark from the pier. If we do not have the minimum level of guests for the trip, then we will call or email you to reschedule. If, for a public cruise of parties 7 or less, you can pay for the seats to get to the 6 person minimum and we can schedule the trip. Once we get 8 passengers booked on a public cruise then our reservation calendar will allow parties of 7 or less to book that time.

  • At the time of your reservation we require a way to contact you incase we need to get in touch with you or your party. 

 

Corporate Events & Large Groups

  • Catering is allowed on board. We DO NOT supply or deliver food for the boat cruise.

  • Any food or alcoholic drinks MUST be discarded BEFORE you board the boat. Our license for alcoholic beverages states that we are NOT allowed to do BYOB.

  • Tax & Gratuity are not included in any pricing or invoices 

  • Large parties are allowed to bring in catered dishes for a $30 fee.

 

Boat Related Questions

  • No swimming or diving is allowed on the trip. 

  • We have available on board the proper amount of PFD's (Personal Flotation Devices) for both adults and children. In addition, we do carry infant jackets as well. 

  • M/V Summer Breeze cruise boat is a handicap accessible vessel. We load and off load passengers at the floating dock located just East of Schaefer's restaurant. Our crew is happy to assist guests on to the boat. We do have a step available to board our boat easier. 

  • M/V Summer Breeze is a Coast Guard Certified Vessel with a COI for 49 passengers. All of our captains hold the proper, updated, licensing requirements. 

  • OUR BOAT LEAVES THE DOCK AT THE DESIGNATED TRIP TIMES. NO EXCEPTIONS! It is advised to arrive at least 15-30min minutes ahead of your trip to find parking, bring on food, travel time, etc.

  • We arrive and depart at the floating dock located at Frank J Hutchins Park next to Tidewater Marina.

  • Children are able to board take a trip with us. It is up to the guardian of the child whether they would like them in a life vest during the trip. We do keep ALL gates locked once underway. 

  • We do allow pets on board, however we do not have flotation devices for them as long as they are on a leash.

Payments and Fees

  • We do accept all major credit cards, cash, and corporate checks (Must be approved) 

  • Guests can pay after the trip is completed. 

  • Any crabs or shrimp is calculated at market price. Prices can change due to availability without notice. We will do our best to assure that if you order crabs & shrimp from us we will have them available. 

NOTE: Please read. These boat rules are in place to ensure your safety and that of the crew as well as other guests, in addition for our cruise boats to be accordance to the best practices set forth by the State of Maryland Comptrollers Office for liquor licensing. 

 

  1. We do NOT allow BYOB. Any coolers brought on board can and will be checked by our crew.

  2. Any specialty items or specific brands of alcohol can be provided for your group for our service charge fee. The remainder is to remain on board the vessel & is NOT allowed off of the boat as "take out".  

  3. Any coolers that are NOT approved by our crew WILL result in a cancellation of the entire groups cover & other payments that were made in advance of the trip.

  4. Alcoholic drinks provided outside of the M/V Bay Breeze MUST be finished PRIOR to boarding the vessel.

  5. Any departure of these boat rules & Maryland Comptroller's Laws WILL result in a forfeiture of any payments to the vessel and/or additional fees.
